Top 10...

I am writing the text on illustrator first
then importing it to AE as when i typed the
text on AE before it came out pixelated.

I've added a light and shadow to my stage to make it look more
like an actual stage.

Because the lights are done using a transparent radiance you cannot see
them when the background layer is on. This won't matter once on AE because it will
be visible with the type.

I spoke to Mike today to see if there was a way i could animate the curtains on the
stage to open at the beginning of my title sequence. He said i firstly needed
to separate everything into different layers which is what i have done, above.
I then put them all together on the same document and imported them into
AE. The first part of the curtains opening will be easy as i can just use
key frames but the next part, making the curtains become ruffled together
will be slightly harder. Mike has said he will help me with this tomorrow.

I wanted all my kinetic type to appear in the space between the stage and
the curtains. I thought this was going to be extremely difficult but now everything is on separate
layers i can have the type come in from behind the curtains and therefore
will always be in the right space.

The lights are now also separated onto different layers so i can now animate
them to move as if they were on a real stage.

I am trying out another background as i didn't think the previous one
looked quite right. Hopefully once i have given this one some colour
it will work a lot better.

I realised i didn't have the resolution on full, therefore the text looked
pixelated. Above is with full resolution. It still doesn't look great so i'm still
going to try importing it from illustrator.

I'm not sure why the font has come out pixelated. I am going to retry it and try importing it
from illustrator.

Here i am just playing about with different fonts. I have hand draw
some fonts also which i have scanned in and combine with these fonts.

After putting the background with some type on AE i've realised the background
grey is too dark and therefore you can not read the type that well.
I'm going to change the background colour to a lighter grey.

I've also realised that because i have animated the type i'm going to have to make
the background move the same way and at the same time, so that the background
looks as if it is static in 'The background'. I think the best way to do this
is to set up Parent and child between the type and the background.
